Carousel

also known as Slider (content), Slideshow, Image gallery

A carousel displays a series of images or cards in a single frame, letting users cycle through them via arrows, dots, swipes, or auto-rotation. It saves space by showing one slide at a time. Overuse can hide content, since users often ignore later slides.

Don't confuse it with
A carousel cycles through media or promotional slides; pagination navigates pages of a list. Despite sometimes being called a 'slider', it is unrelated to the range-input slider used to pick a value.
