Sidebar

also known as Navigation drawer, Side panel, Side menu

A sidebar is a panel anchored to the left or right side of the screen that lists navigation destinations, filters, or secondary content. It can be permanently visible on wide screens or slide in as a drawer on smaller ones. It comfortably holds many items, section headers, and nested groups.

Don't confuse it with
A sidebar is the wide panel itself with full labels and hierarchy; a navigation rail is its slim, icon-only cousin. A hamburger menu is the three-line icon that reveals a hidden sidebar or drawer.
