Toolbar
also known as Action toolbar, Command bar
A toolbar groups action controls, such as buttons and icons, so users can trigger common commands without hunting through menus. It appears in editors, documents, and apps, often above or beside the content it acts on. Unlike navigation, its buttons perform operations rather than move between screens.
Don't confuse it with
A toolbar is about doing things (bold, undo, share); an app bar or navigation bar is about location and moving between views. Toolbars can float near content, while app bars anchor to the screen top.
