Navigation Bar
also known as Nav bar, Navbar
A navigation bar is a horizontal (usually top) strip containing links to the primary areas of a site or app, such as Home, Products, and Contact. It stays visible so users always know where they can go. On the web it commonly includes the logo, main links, and sometimes a search field or sign-in button.
Don't confuse it with
A navigation bar's job is switching sections; an app bar's job is showing the current screen's title and actions. A tab bar is a specific mobile pattern anchored to the bottom edge with icon tabs.
