User Flow

also known as flow, task flow

A user flow maps the concrete screens, decisions, and actions a person moves through to finish a specific task inside a product. It is tactical and product-focused. Flows expose dead ends, redundant steps, and confusing branches.

A user flow is a task-level path through screens inside the product; a user journey is broader, spanning stages, emotions, and touchpoints across the whole experience over time.
