Bottom App Bar

also known as Bottom bar (actions)

A bottom app bar anchors key actions, a navigation menu, and often a floating action button to the bottom of a mobile screen for easy one-handed reach. Unlike bottom navigation, its focus is contextual actions rather than switching top-level destinations. It can host overflow menus and inline controls.

Don't confuse it with
A bottom app bar centers on actions and may embed a FAB; bottom navigation centers on switching between the app's main sections. Both sit at the bottom, but one acts and the other navigates.
